Make-Blog-Known-Month

Let's make July the Make-Blog-Known-Month! This blog seems to be at a pretty low reading level, and that's just a shame! So Reader - whoever you are or wherever you are - take part in a joined effort to make this blog more known - if you think it deserves it!

Comments and recommendations

You may have noticed that there is a field below each article where you can leave comments. Leaving comments is not that hard, try it sometime. You can also leave comments - or ask anything -  by sending mail to the blog sähköpostiosoite kivita@gmail.com. 

Samassa kentässä there are different symbols. The first one is for email - you can send this blog article to your friends by email. The fourth one is to share the article in facebook. Please feel free to do any of this and thus help spread this blog. Thank you.

Search and find

See the Blogger sign at the upper left hand corner? Next to it there is a space where you can write search word(s), and look for items you want to find in this particular blog. Toinen tapa to find things is to go to Tunnisteet/Tags on the right side - everything tähestikulisse järjestusse - and look for things there. Any which way you look, there will be more and more things to find - about the two cities & the two languages -  as time goes by. And most of those things do not have a best-before-date stamped on them. Try and see!

Introduction

Hi everyone!
This new blog will deal with Helsinki and Tallinn and what it is to be travelling between these two cities, and visiting them from the point of view of an Estonian, Finn or foreigner (here: anyone else but Finnish and Estonian). The base language used here will be English, as a kind of neutral and binding thing, but the main purpose of this blog is to learn some Finnish and Estonian - with the help of English. Makes sense? You'll soon find out!

There will be constant updating, support functions, detail infos and vocabulary building to assist you in the reading of this blog. The tags (tunnisteet) are a great help - I suggest you use them. The Finnish-English-Estonian triplicity here is a bit uneven and shaky in the beginning, but the aim is that the Estonian language will come forth here more and more.
